Plaksha University is India's largest collective philanthropic effort to build a 21st century Technology University. It is backed by 60+ academic and business leadersfrom 5 countries, and envisions to reimagine technology education and research for India and the world.
It's flagship program, Plaksha Tech Leaders Fellowship, was launched in August this year. The Fellowship is a one-year fully residential master's level program, co-designed and delivered by Berkeley Engineering and Purdue University.
The current cohort has a diverse mix of students from 16 states in India and more than 45 institutions from India and abroad. Women constitute 25% of the class. Dr. Shankar Sastry, former Dean of Engineering, UC Berkeley interacted with the Class of 2020 and here is what he had to say.
