CALL FOR JRF/PROJECT ASSISTANT FOR SPONSORED PROJECT

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Project Assistant/JRF to work on the following
project Structured Dialogues for Sustainable Urban Water Management (SDSUWM) sponsored by
Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under the supervision of Dr. Suchismita Satpathy, and Dr Biswanath Dash Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Science, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.
Title of the project: Structured Dialogues for Sustainable Urban Water Management (SDSUWM)
Duration of the project: 5* years (*subject to continuation of funding and performance of the candidate)
Project position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Assistant
Number: 1 PA/ JRF
Fellowship amount: ₹ 22,000 Per month consolidated for PA/ and ₹ 25,000 per month for JRF
Eligibility requirements: M.A/ M.Phil. in Social Sciences (Sociology/Anthropology/Development Studies/Public administration /Science, technology and society studies/ Public policy and governance, Natural resource and management or any related area of
the project) with exposure to field work.
Note:
• Last date for the receipt of application: 18th February 2020
• Tentative date of interview: last week of February.
• DST and BITS Pilani Hyderabad rule will be followed for leave, fellowship, termination etc.
• The candidate has to have good command over languages – English, Hindi and Telugu
• Candidate will be based in Hyderabad (hostel accommodation if required) and must be willing to travel including
Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Jaipur
• If performance of the PA/JRF is not found to be satisfactory during the service, position can be terminated with a
month prior notice.
