Startup: Inviting applications for aspiring entrepreneurs competition "Start-a-thon" by SP-TBI Mumbai

Here is an exciting opportunity for you if you are aspiring to be an entrepreneur. 

It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to be a part of the Sardar Patel Technology Business Incubator’s (SPTBI) START-A-THON 2020 which will be held in March 2020.

The SPTBI’s Start-a-Thon is a 2 Days intense start-up ideation competition. We will have participants from all over India coming in to develop technical and business solutions to real-world problems. There will be a screening round to select the best teams based on certain criteria. The final competition would take place at SPTBI, Mumbai.

Timeline:

Registrations: Till 29th February 2020

Initial problem statement solution: Till 29th February 2020

Shortlisting of 20 finalists: 3rd March 2020

Final Round: 14th and 15th March 2020 (at SP-TBI)

6 Weeks Entrepreneurship Training programme: Starts on 10th April.

Have you been aspiring to become an entrepreneur? 

If you are a startup enthusiast but do not know where to start, how to start, when to start; then this is a perfect platform for you.

Eligibility :
Individual Entrepreneur, Start-up Enthusiast, Startup or a team up to 4 members.

Why participate:

1. Ideate:

- All participants will be given a real-world problem statement upon registration. They need to provide a 1-page tech solution by 29th February. No coding is required as part of the solution.

- The top 20 teams will be invited to ideate around 5 problem statement on 14th and 15th March at SPTBI.

- Talk to industry mentors and seek their assistance while cracking the problem statement.

- No coding solution required but we want a solution, driven by technology. How technology can solve the problem.

2. Innovate:

- Winners of the competition will be given free access to SP-TBI's Entrepreneurship Training Programme (Startup Catapult).

- Innovate your solution through this programme and build your own start-up.

- 6 weeks of training with the best of the mentors.

3. Incubate:

- After the training is over, SP-TBI will provide 3 months of free incubation support to the idea that have shaped into startups. After 3 months of incubation os over, startups will be eligible for applying for seed support funding up to 25 lacs.
