Job Description - Project Coordinator
Suryoday Trust is the first non-profit in Nallasopara that is dedicated to the cause of providing
education to children with mental disabilities with a view to making them functionally
independent adults who are well-integrated into society. Founded in 2010 by members with
decades of corporate experience, it currently works with 50 children, borrowing its working
style from the founders’ rigorous corporate work ethic, discipline and network.
Location: Kandivali, Mumbai
Below are the responsibilities of Project Coordinator:
Key functions:
1. Fundraising: 50-60% of the time will be spent in fundraising for the operational needs
of the organisation as well as for the scaling needs. The Project coordinator is expected
to create proposals for fundraising, manage relationship with existing donors and
develop relations with new donor.
2. Reporting: The Project coordinator needs to take care of donor reports, create budget
reports based on requirement for fund utilization.
3. Digital Network: The Manager should be able to leverage his digital knowledge to
keep the website and Facebook page of the NGO up-to-date
4. Event Organising: It includes organising and managing events for children at school
with the help of corporate or individual donors
5. Partner Management: Suryoday Trust constantly seeks to collaborate with
organisations and people who complement our work. The Project coordinator is
expected to meet with potential partners, discuss points of synergy, and build and
maintain a strong relationship with the partners.
Key competencies:
1. Good verbal and written communication skills.
2. Excellent presentation skills
3. Having reasonable digital knowledge to improve our overall visibility in the social
media.
4. Passion towards the cause of people with disabilities.
5. Proactivity and ability to take initiative.
6. Keen interest in collaborating, innovating and creating sector level impact.
Qualification:
1. Graduate in social work who is passionate towards working in developmental sector
2. Graduate who has worked in Digital marketing
