About Cankids

CanKids KidsCan is the only National NGO working across the entire spectrum of Childhood Cancer Care in India. Through our signature program YANA –You are Not Alone – we provide holistic support to a child with cancer and the family, from the moment of detection, through diagnosis, treatment and after. We work in partnership with 99 Cancer centers in 42 cities and 22 States of India . In addition, we also run 7 Home away from Homes- a low cost model where the children with cancer .  We also run the only Paediatric Palliative Care Centre for children with cancer in India.

We are doing a digital revamp and looking for someone who can craft and convey the CanKids story to our stakeholder community of families of children with cancer, donors, partners, employees and volunteers across India.

• Previous work experience in development sector
• Desire to make an impact
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Digital native with experience of community building & social media
• Crafting impactful internal and external communications
• Ability to work under pressure (This is not a laid back 9 to 5 job)

 

Job Description

• Creating and executing awareness and outreach projects across channels
• Partnering with the resource mobilization and patient navigation /medical partnership teams to create impactful communications.
• Craft internal communications to employees and external communications to donors and stakeholders
• Overseeing and creating a diverse range of content, e.g. social media, brochures, presentations, videos
• Managing social media accounts & digital outreach
• Managing a team of 2  people, budgets, planning  and reporting

• A pure managerial hands off job, crafting strategy and ppts and giving off to others to execute.
