Ummeed, a premier non-profit organization for children with disabilities in India, was founded in 2001 by Dr. Vibha Krishnamurthy, a developmental pediatrician. Ummeed’s vision is to help children with developmental disabilities reach their full potential and be included in society, as an organization with over 100 committed professionals.

Over 19 years, Ummeed’s transdisciplinary team has directly worked with over 10,000 children and their families, and supported another 2,50,000 indirectly through its trainees from all parts of India.

Ummeed is currently looking for a Manager/Senior Manager – Social Work Services. The Social Work team at Ummeed works toward empowering families by integrating them as active partners in the treatment process. The team also participates in various advocacy efforts, in collaboration with parent-based organizations and other governmental and nongovernmental organizations.

Major responsibilities of the position will include:

• Working closely with Head, Clinical Services and Senior team members to define goals and priorities for the Social Work team
• Conceptualizing new programs that the team can take on as well as planning and delivering programs meant for scale to determine and implement ways for incorporating the feedback and inputs of children, families, and trainees in the various programs
• Managing the delivery and quality of existing services
• Working closely with other clinical and training teams to ensure the Social Work team’s programs are coordinated and aligned with the overall direction of the organization
• Supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior team members; planning and managing recruitment of new staff in line with strategic priorities

 
Experience:  8 to 12 years work experience in the Social Work sphere which include 1-2years of program management experience
Location: Mumbai
CTC Range: 10 to 14 lacs per annum
