I’m writing to let everyone know of openings for design internships at Agastya International Foundation in Bangalore. Please find below more details for the roles of 1. Product Design Intern 2. Illustrator Intern.
Agastya International Foundation (www.agastya.org) is an Indian education trust and non-profit organization based in Bangalore, India whose mission is to spark curiosity, nurture creativity and build confidence among economically disadvantaged children and teachers in India.
1. Product Design Internship:
We are looking for an intern with strong product design skills and interest or expertise in education. The designer should be proficient with conceptualising, sketching, ideation, quick prototyping and 3D modelling. The designer will be working with a team of people who have backgrounds in various fields. The internship is based in Bangalore and to be done on a full time or part-time basis.
We are developing exciting interactive experiences and installations for children as part of our Curiosity Carnival program which is a four-day-long event featuring children’s innovative prototypes, our own interactive exhibits based on sustainability and ‘New Earth’ and a series of workshops also revolving around the same theme.
The intern will be working on designing new interactive models/exhibits along with the team in Bangalore.
Internship period: 2-3 months.
Start date: Immediately.

2. Illustrator Internship:
We are looking for an intern with strong illustration skills and interest or expertise in education. Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is an added bonus. Experimentation with different illustration styles - both hand-drawn and digital is most welcome. We require the illustrations to appeal to children and connect with them. The illustrator should be comfortable with a design for both print and digital publishing. The intern will be working with a team of people who have backgrounds in various fields. The internship is based in Bangalore and is done on a full time or part-time basis.
