Inclusion is a right, not a privilege for a select few.”
Inclusive education is the need of the hour. The Right to Education (RTE) Act, introduced in 2009 allows children with special needs to pursue mainstream education. All students, irrespective of their impairment, should be educated in mainstream schools. The spirit of the Act enshrines in it the belief that when children from different backgrounds and abilities, study together in one classroom, they would be able to achieve their highest potential.
Let us make a pledge to “leave no one behind” and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030
We still have a long way to go: Millions of children are still not in school and poverty, gender inequality, ethnicity, remoteness, language, disabilities, natural disasters as well as conflicts humanitarian crisis and displacement are still obstacles to inclusive education.
We cordially invite you to join us in this symposium on Inclusive Education to meet, discuss and explore ideas with our expert panel of distinguished guests. The symposium is intended to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas in the effective implementation of the RTE Act to ensure education for all.
We seek your support and participation in this symposium to symbiotically work towards Education for All.
