Role: Short-term Qualitative Researcher

Location: Preferably Delhi or Patna

Term: One month

Start date: ASAP

Oxford Policy Management (OPM) India is looking to hire a short-term qualitative researcher
on an immediate basis. The researcher will join a team undertaking an assessment of a
government cash transfer aimed at girl children in Bihar. The role will involve 2-3 weeks
of fieldwork in Bihar.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Engaging in fieldwork including the following activities:
• conducting interviews and focus group discussions and taking notes
• training of field researchers
• field management of data collection teams
• Data management which will include:
• conducting de-briefs with the team in the field
• coordinating the transcription process 
• Analysis
• Participate in trainings, meetings and discussion as and when required 

Skills and Qualifications 

• At least a master’s degree in any social science discipline 
• Preferably 1-2 years of work experience in design and implementation of qualitative
• research studies 
• Experience in managing qualitative fieldwork in rural areas 
• Hindi fluency and strong skills in written English
