If you are an individual with a love for the wilderness and a rustic environment and is interested in community-level livelihood development work, here is an opportunity to work with Dhriiti-The Courage Within while staying in one of the prettiest and pristine areas in Assam.
Project Pragati is working with women micro-entrepreneurs from indigenous communities in Assam on an ecologically sustainable livelihood activity while also addressing a diverse set of problems that affect productivity and efficiency in work. We require an individual who is hard-working, adventurous, willing to stay in a rural setup for two-and-half months and closely work with the communities. The post is open to any discipline, provided the person does have an understanding of data, social and environmental issues. The individual is required to have very good writing skills in English and spoken Hindi. While knowledge of Assamese would be desirable, it is not at all a necessity as we have very good local interpreters.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate have to work closely with an already existing field team in the area. The types of work the individual is expected to do---
· Dynamic community engagement on topics related to health, finance and environment.
· Interviews and Surveys with women entrepreneurs and communities.
· Research Assistance.
· Documentation.
Remuneration: Rs 15,000 pm
Accommodation, food and transportation (to-and-fro from the place of origin, 2AC train fare) would be taken care of by Dhriiti.
