We are seeking a VP of Business Development for India to supercharge our Indian growth. You will work together with the Matific executive team and our Indian team to close large Matific deals in India. Given the start-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in your approach. This role is likely to be based out of Mumbai; however, we are open to other cities in the South of India.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan in conjunction with the global sales director
- Lead discussions with government education departments in the region
- Target and close large private school opportunities in the region
- Develop channel opportunities with organisations and corporations
- Work in partnership with our Indian team and country manager
- Deliver to quarterly and annual targets. Set and manage forecasts
- Assist in nurturing our Indian sales team
- Implement best of breed sales techniques, processes and policies in India
- Identify opportunities, threats and challenges in the Indian market and act accordingly
- Work closely with marketing, data-insights, product and other functions

REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary Qualifications
- 8+ years of sales experience
- An open mind and ability to quickly adapt to new environments
- Demonstrate experience and results in running a global sales team
- Excellent written and oral skills (English)
- Experience selling into government is beneficial
- Experience in the education sector is beneficial
