Dear Ms./Mr.,
Greetings from LEAD India!
This is a reference to explore the opportunity to conduct a Water conservation workshop in your school.
As you know, water is the most vital natural resource on the planet. It is necessary for human survival and a critical input into our food, manufacturing, and energy systems. It also sustains the ecosystems and climate upon which both, our built and natural world rely. Unfortunately, our world is facing a major challenge of water scarcity. With increasing demand and haphazard usage, it is difficult to optimize the use of water for different purposes. Clearly, Water Conservation is the need of the hour.
LEAD India who has its expertise in capacity building programs, designed a training module on water conservation for students in the age group of 8-12 years (3rd to 7th grade). Till now we engaged with 300 schools and more than 1,5 lakh children across the states of Delhi (100), West Bengal (60), Uttar Pradesh (70) and Gujarat (70).
The workshop includes 15 min of screening the water conservation cartoon created by Sony YAY! and 45 min engaging activity process. The activity is structured in a way that takes students on a reflective journey of their own water usage. We know that students are already well aware of the scientific facts and water-related issues. Rather than that, we encourage children to think and reflect on their own water behavior and take responsibility for their own water-related practices. In the next step, we facilitate a space for imagining creative solutions to address their own water wastage as well as observed wastage in their immediate surroundings. The workshop ends with children's oaths, sharing their promises on how they will save water. Usually, students’ promises are exhibited in the school and serve as a reminder.

In the workshop, we create a participatory environment to open up innovative solutions that can only be mastered by children's imagination. We, after all, see children as partners of a change! Kindly see the photo presentation of our project in the attachment.

All the organizational and professional facilitation fees are undertaken by LEAD India.
For any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We are looking forward to taking a participatory journey with your students and explore creative solutions on this important topic.

Warmly,
