Daksha Fellowship is the first law fellowship in India to offer sector-specific specialisations, and aims to train lawyers for the digital age and ever-evolving world. Students can choose to specialise in one of three pathways: Technology Law and Policy, Law and Regulation, and Disputes Resolution. All scholars selected for the fellowship will also participate in industry internships and a global immersion program at an international partner institution.
The fellowship program is promoted by Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha and KV Ramani, a telecom software entrepreneur from Chennai. We are advised by industry luminaries like NR Narayana Murthy and Mohandas Pai, and top legal experts like Sriram Panchu, Arvind Datar, Justice BN Srikrishna and Rahul Matthan.
The academic program for the Daksha Fellowship is being directed by Dr Ananth Padmanabhan in the capacity as Dean for the program. He is supported in this endeavor by well-known academics and legal practitioners, including Dr Madhav Khosla, Dr Sudhir Ravindran, NS Nappinai and Chitra Narayan.
Applications for the Daksha Fellowship are already open. The first round of applications closes on 20 April 2020 followed by two more rounds of admissions. We begin on August 3, 2020. Daksha Fellows will be selected on the basis of performance in an admissions test, writing samples and a personal interview. Up to 100% tuition waivers will be granted to meritorious applicants.
