The officer will work with the RRCH and other staff to implement KM initiatives; manages KM efforts; requires to oversee and to capture tacit and explicit knowledge (based on data within CHILDLINE India Foundation; and external sources) as well as initiate processes and often involves balancing technology, information, processes and individual and organizational learning within a culture of shared understanding.
Managing Knowledge translates to converting raw data into comprehensible information, which can be used for planning, monitoring, advocacy as well as part of evaluating outcomes and documenting/ disseminating to various levels within the organisation, as well as to policy making bodies in coordination with the CHILDLINE ‘s national Knowledge Hub (CKH).
Responsibilities
- Coordination with relevant staff in the Head Office, Regional Resource Centre and CHILDLINEs for proper flow of information bottom up and top down.
- To collate the efforts of the various regional state CHILDLINEs with regards to child protection and relate them to relevant National and International frameworks.
- Support to the development of necessary tools required to collect, collate, and analyse at the regional level, and provide feedback / inputs to the National team (CKH)
- Orient the RRC team on the formats developed and ensures adherence and periodic monitoring to ensure the same.
- Will provide key inputs to the RRC teams based on periodic analysis of data and information based on interventions and trends.
- Identify and support the RRC staff to highlight significant efforts from the activities and programmes taken up by CHILDLINEs on the ground to feed periodic qualitative reports, meetings etc
- To guide and support RRC staff for collection and collation of useful data on child rights and protection aspects , to inform appropriate advocacy and programmatic response
- Liaise with RRCH, SPCs and PCs for deciding upon strategic areas of focus for state campaigns on children’s rights, and with relevant SPCs to outline an Implementation support plan for the campaign.
- Establish and coordinate regular meetings and procedures for exchange of information regarding good practices, case studies
- Gap analysis for training
Educational qualification
Advanced university degree, preferably in the social sciences, law or other relevant fields.
Work Experience
- Understanding of child rights concepts and International Conventions for child rights
- Three-Five years of professional work experience in Child Protection, including fieldwork experience.
- Background/familiarity with CHILDLINE operations, understanding trends in DATA analysis.
- Experience in data analysis for issues such as Child sexual abuse, child marriage etc.
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English and a regional any language
Fluency in English and local working language of the duty station.
