Job: Looking for a Programme Coordinator - Climate Change and Environment

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator - Climate Change and Environment. 
Position based at: Delhi
Responsibilities:
·        Help PnP in scanning the development landscape in the country and the South Asia region and contribute to organizational strategies towards development of a balanced and meaningful portfolio of work.
·        Establish and develop constructive and inspiring relations with external partners related to the working area of climate change.
·        Experience in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation projects and Policy issues
·        Participate in regional and global strategic discussions of PnP and its key partners on the theme of climate change
·        Support PnP in establishing and developing constructive and inspiring relations with existing stakeholders in the working area of climate change
·        Maintain client and partner contacts in the area of climate change and development
·        Develop new clients and professional networks in the area of climate change
·        Represent PnP in events and networks related to climate change and development
·        Support the CEO in the development of public relations in the working area of climate change
·        Actively develop methodological and/or thematic content of the working area
·        Support field activities of projects on climate change
·        Provide demand based services to clients and partners of PnP
·        Support all PnP projects and programmes in key moments (planning of new projects or phases, reviews and evaluations)
·        Proposal writing, business development, take care of acquisitions of PnP
·        Develop, acquire and implement mandates for external clients and develop/ maintain partnerships in line with the strategic orientation of the organisation.
·        Contribute to the development of a balanced portfolio that leads to financial viability of the working area.
·        Maintain a cordial and inspiring work relationship with the PnP team for the healthy growth and development of the organisation
·        Contribute to PnP knowledge sharing and learning and to communities of practice in the climate change working area.

Essential qualifications:

·        Ph.D/Post graduate in environment/environmental science/sustainability/climate science or relevant streams from a reputed university. Should have a strong research background, including an understanding of experimental and analytical research
·        At least 5 - 10 years of experience in climate change domain and GHG mitigation, low carbon pathways, air quality, clean energy policies across different sectors.
·        Skills and experience in strategic planning, management, managing complex activities.
·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·        Prior experience of representing the organization in various forums.
·        Should have good understanding of social sector and gender issues
