Key responsibilities
To be an inspirational leader and manager to create an exemplar government school:
• As an instructional leader in a government school, set the vision and goals towards excellent learning outcomes and academic processes
• Work towards setting up a strong school culture that is based on high expectations from all stakeholders and showcases strong school community, characterised by consistent, orderly behaviour and caring, respectful relationships
• Design and implement interventions for holistic school transformation that will act as a visual exemplar for the whole district and the state
• Develop and take ownership of the School Development Plan, and mobilize stakeholders to act towards the school’s development in line with the plan
• Be an advisor and counsellor to the Head Teacher/Principal and support the management of the government school through consultative decision-making
• Engage and influence the government staff to set a common language for excellence and invest them to work towards student attainment
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships and ensure regular and productive communication with parents and external stakeholders
