About Us 

We are two co-founders from different background but having similar interest started working together:-

Shivani Kumari:- B. Tech from NIT Jamshedpur in 2018. Worked at Pradan in Jharkhand with the tribal community. Interned and volunteered at Khetee and Auroville. Explored different organisations regarding the same. While working at Pradan Shivani felt that Environment is in danger because of modern practices of living. She left the job at Pradan and started learning environment-friendly farming techniques. 

Niwas Kumar:- MA in Education from Azim Premji University. Worked at i-Saksham for two years on digital education, worked at Project Potential for five months on rural entrepreneurship and worked at Khetee for four months on Regenerative Agroforestry. Having a keen interest in alternative education from 2016 Niwas explored different organizations to get experience in education, entrepreneurship and farming. He is also interested in creating an inclusive school with transgender children. 

Shivani and Niwas working together on creating a farm and farm school and forming the organization Soil4Soul. Before doing this both did an exposure visit of 67 days and visited 30 organizations across 6 states of India.

About Soil4Soul

Soil4Soul is a not for profit organization working on Natural Farming, Transgender and Alternative school. Soil4Soul is working in Jamui, Bihar. We just started our work in 2020 and we have received the National Social Enterprise Idea Challenge award 2020 award.

Currently, we are working on registering organization, buying land, collecting knowledge, team strengthening, connecting with stakeholders, identifying funding opportunities and strategizing our project.

The senior citizen internship program

What is a senior citizen internship program?

We are offering internships for senior citizens who are more than 50 years old. Intern will get a chance to work according to their interest aligning with organizational vision. After 50 years and retired senior citizens never get a chance to work again. But we wanted to do some social work that impacted our society. But Senior citizens never get a chance to intern or volunteer. So, the objective of this Internship is to give opportunity and take help from their experiences, skills and network. 

Eligibility criteria

1. The intern should be the age more than 50 

2. The intern should have access to a computer and the internet 

3. Interest in social work

Other details 

1. Language: English and Hindi are necessary.

2. Age: More than 50 years

3. Computer skills: You must have proficiency in computer operating 

4. The intern will work from home in online mode. 

5. The duration of the internship is 2 months which will start on the 1st of April. 

Benefit

1. During this internship, you will learn Natural practices of Farming. 

2. You will get a chance to re-use your skills, knowledge and network. 

3. Here you will get a chance to do networking with other senior citizens.

4. This internship is fully volunteering based and we are not able to pay any stipend. But we offer an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone.
