We at Shrenis aim to build, revitalise, and enhance local community-based occupational networks. We derive our philosophy from the ancient Indian socio-economic groups who were known as ‘shrenis’, or guilds. We are trying to revive these ‘guilds’, by rekindling the same essence of autonomy, economic structure, and community sentiment that existed in ancient India. We currently have over 1200 members from over 10 occupational groups, including, weavers, tailors, wood-inlay artists, wood carving-artists, Channapatna toys etc.
As we are expanding, we are looking for a Mobiliser and an Assistant Community Coordinator to join our team. The job descriptions for both are attached with this email.
