Peace First is a US based not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to work for empowerment of young people around the world. Since last month, Peace First has expanded globally by recruiting a team of seven Fellow-in-Residence and Regional Manager, of which Sushmina Baidya is responsible to look after Asia/Oceania.
So, Peace First works under youth venture philanthropy model. We have 'Mini-grant Challenge' where a young person (13-25 years old) can take part. PF provides free mentorship and online training to young people who have innovative social solutions for projects, enterprise or research.
The mini-grant challenge is grants upto USD250. After completion of mini-grant challenge, a young person becomes eligible to take part in Accelerator Grant Program (happens four times a year) which is a grant application to upscale their mini-grant project to USD 25000.
PF believes that young people are the leaders of TODAY and that with trust, they CAN. They are looking to upscale projects in India where a lot of young people get access to this challenge.
