Yatra: Satsangam Yatra- a journey to meet living temples of ignited hearts and selfless service

  

Why Satsangam Yatra?  

We are living in interesting times.The external stimulation of technology and social media govern many of our choices today. 

It can be challenging to live a life with our values and integrity intact.

The yatra is a humble attempt on our part to show the world few simple yet powerful people in the fields of organic farming, sustainable living, regenerative ecological and economical models, participatory leadership and community self governance. 

Their life is their true message. They embody simplicity, compassion and care leading to profound and powerful shifts in the society.

Why are we doing it? (Our Story)

We( Arti and Karishma) took up this project of designing this learning journey for our juniors from Swaraj University Udaipur knowing little of what it would ignite within us.

We were awestruck to meet these people for whom leadership is naturally about being more compassionate and thinking for "US" and not "I".These are places where Nature is worshiped for her divinity.

When our hearts were full of what we had experienced, the idea of designing a yatra(journey) like this came naturally to us.

In these horrid times of cut throat competition, greed, scarcity continuous external stimuli, we felt it was essential for people to experience these pockets of love, warmth and togetherness.

What is Satsangam Yatra?

It is a 7 day long residential yatra to meet the true heroes, see their work and listen to their stories.

The idea of travelling together as a community helps us build new perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions. It also serves as a practice ground for the values we would like to behold in our lives.

The reflection circles help one to understand their beliefs, dreams and challenges and find a healthier way of engaging with them.

Who will benefit from the experience?

• Social Entrepreneurs, Educators and Change Makers.  
• People interested to understand local systems and Gandhian philosophies around development and work.
• People who would like to study or understand more about conscious and consensual decision-making with power rested with local people.
• People willing to create regenerative energy systems and sustainable models.

• Co-learning with a diverse group of people coming from different backgrounds and professions.
• The true essence of the beauty of community living and live meetings with people who are a powerful epitome of fearlessness,service and compassion.  
• Break stereotypes of what a happy, fulfilled and successful life is.
• A lot of inspiration to create an outer reality aligned with one's inner values/truth.  
• An understanding of how localization of goods and resources serves all beings. 

Yatra will begin on the 2nd of February from Wardha and end on the 8th of February 2020 at Wardha(near Nagpur,Maharashtra).

Financial Contribution:

We suggest a financial contribution between 9,000 INR to 20,000 INR. 

Rs 9,000 covers the logistics of food, travel and accommodation. It is the minimum amount needed to support a person on the trip. 

If you feel that you could pay more it will help support the facilitators' time, energy and design engagement and other scholarships that are provided to your co-yatris.

In any case, money should not be a reason of not participating.

In case post the yatra you feel that the experience did not offer what it promised, the yatra guarantees a 50% refund.
